I think I am, Therefore I Am A Media Slut

The moment we use the word slut, we immediately form an image of a woman considered to be sexually promiscuous. A media slut, is however has no sexual linkage, but plays on the word "promiscuous".

If you were to do a search on "promiscuous" at www.dictionary.com, you would find a definition of promiscuous goes like this...


"Promiscuous" - Consisting of diverse, unrelated parts or individuals; confused: “Throngs promiscuous strew the level green” (Alexander Pope).

Media sluts are not people that sleep around with media personalities, but it actually refers to people who love to be in the media limelight, regardless of the medium.

On the opposite side of the specturm, a PR whore is not a PR professional that sleeps around with the media, but it actually refers to a media person who goes out all the way to make use of his PR counterpart to get the story out..

Confusing, not really.. but welcome to the media industry...

Wait till you come across a journalist that tells he doesn't tell lies, he just make out stories... well, that's another story to tell..
